this seems to be a consistent problem on my setup.

bug: surface of box selected then "bevel" action performed.

generates a nice bevel except that two of the new vertices have their y values mixed up.
the high one is low and the low one is high. makes a nice little criss/cross thing.

usually just on one end of the surface...not both ends.

I am using ac3d 3.6 on Redhat linux 9 running with ./ac3ds

Bevel can confused when working with concave polygons but on triangles and rectangular quads, it should be ok.

Are you doing a bevel on a single side of a box object? i.e. a rectangle?

yes..typical box...pick one side...do a bevel.

no big deal...i just go back and swap the two vertices.

i have bevelled cylinders with no problem.

The problem has been only on the y coordinates..
