Is there any way that I can save my 3d objects as images (gif, jpeg, png) to be used on a website?

Yes - the png plugin saves the 3D window as a png file (adds item to Tools menu).

You can also use Edit->copy-3d-window-to-clipboard and paste the image into your favourite picture editor, word processor, web editor etc (under Windows).

AC3D loads Quake III BSP files - is this what you mean?
