View Full Version : minor problems

So far I have only noticed a few minor things;

1. When entering text into some of the features that allow you to like rotate and object properties for instance, the cursor will jump from the text box to manipulating the scene. This happens infrequently about 4 times so far but constantly doing it when it did happen.

2. You can lose the model in 3d view and F does not recenter it. This has happened only a few time when zooming out and around a large model, seems like you can't see thru models so I suspect I'm getting stuck in or by the model somehow.

3. The rotate tool only seems to rotate the model left or right no matter where you click on it. Should it follow cursor movement similair to the 3d view ? If so that would be more helpful (the rotate context box works fine not to be confused)

Great product, I am shocked at how little the problems are in v4.0 keep up the good work.

The view windows automatically get the focus when you drag over the views. It means that you don't have to click the first time you enter a view - like in many other programs. This means that you should keep the mouse in the area of the text fields (e.g. the control panel) to maintain keyboard focus.

Currently the spin view doesn't scale the view to fit the selected object, it just centres the view around the selection. Switch the view into walk-mode for a more accurate 'fit' when you press f.

This is correct - rotating in the 2D windows is meant to be like this. When you rotate the view in the 3d window, you are not rotating the actual object, just your viewpoint.

thanks!
