Hi, new to AC3D & 3D work. Was trying to use a jpg as a background image but getting the following error;
"Exception occured in command file select_background_image Last error not necessarily then problem The operation completed sucessfully Please report this to Inivis"
Any help appreciated guys. <S>

Hi Baders,
Is this on Linux or Windows? Have you tried to load other images?
Does the same image load as a texture?

Can you load a jpeg as a texture?
Have you tried any other jpegs?
The jpeg plugin uses libjpeg so unless they've brought out a different coding format, it should be fine. Could the file be corrupt?

I experimented & some jpgs can be loaded as textures but not others. All these jpgs were manufactured in photoshop.

Hi! I am a new AC3D user.
I have a similar problem!
I can load a background image, but if i clear it, then I am not able to reload it or any other image.
The same message appears:
"Exception occured in command file select_background_image Last error not necessarily then problem Operazione completata Please report this to Inivis"
The jpeg images are download from the web.
Thanks,
PINO

make sure your jpg's are in rgb mode in your painter. I noticed the other day that ac3d seemed to have a problem loading graphics that are grey scale. if your using a 3-view from the web alot of times they save those in grey scale to save on size. If i was to take a guess I would saythis is the problem that you guys are having.

Thank you Razer for your quick feedback!
Unfortunately, the problem still remains!
I tried with a lot of images, b/n, color, several formats, but if I clear it, to reload it I have to exit and open the program again...

tried converting the jpg to a bmp file then importing it? I only use BMP's for my backgrounds since they work best fo rme.
