Hello everybody,

i use AC3D v4.0 for Linux (the trial version) on a Debian Woody (800MHz AMD Duron / old Voodoo 3 graphic card, XFree86 Version 4.1.0.1). I just start to play around with the software and creates a simple modell. I was looking at the 3D view and by accident i hold the 'control' button and open a rubberband holding left mousebutton. This causes an immediately crash of XFree.

Any ideas why this happends?

regards,
Matthias

(Please excuse my bad english ;) .)

Try both 'ac3d' and 'ac3ds' - if 'ac3d' crashes, then there's likely to be a problem with the graphics libraries. 'ac3ds' is software only, so it should work on most machines.

Hello Andy, hello *,

Try both 'ac3d' and 'ac3ds' - if 'ac3d' crashes, then there's likely to be a problem with the graphics libraries. 'ac3ds' is software only, so it should work on most machines.

i tried 'ac3ds' and the problem disappeared. Thank you for the fast reply.

Matthias :-)
