I just got the Trial Version of AC3D, its great. for such a small download it is just as powerful as much of the big ones. Anyway. I just modeled an object and i had the texture made and loaded it. but the white default texture still shines through. i put the shininess up and it fixed it but it dont look good shiny. if someone could tell me how to take the default texture off the object it would be great. Thanks.

To get a really shiny object increase the shininess and maximise the specular. You may need to increase details to get a better effect inside AC3D e.g. make a sphere with more segments.
To get reflections and nicer shiny lighting effects, you will need to render your model with a raytracer like Povray (www.povray.org) - this can be set up to render from tools->render.
The material of a surface 'shows through' a texture so you'll probably want to use a white material underneath to show your texture off the best.
