I got a new volunteer to host my AC3D aircraft tutorials:
Modeling Aircraft in AC3D (http://wine.techlab.info/AC3D_Tutorials/).
Thanks to our earlier hosts for keeping the rather large files on offer for as long as they could.
Let me know if you encounter any problems with the files, or if the pipe is too slow.
One of these days, I'll get around to making a tutorial on using the TCE (Texture Coordinate Editor). And perhaps, I'll get around to redoing the entire series, using a newer 5.x version of AC3D, which now has a slightly different and more graphic interface.

I'm glad you found another place to host them. I was able to download them all. Looking forward to the others. I'm also checking out the "screen recorder gold" stuff you used. I would like to be able to do some tutorials, if I can get out from under some deadlines and get a little free time.
Thanks again!

As a beginning modeller I found these videos the best introduction to 3d modeling I have ever seen.
I especially liked how you went into the nitty gritty of how to clean up the model, as one of my problems is getting clean vertices
Thank you :)

Thanks for the kind words.
Things are getting even brighter for would-be modelers...
My esteemed colleague Razer is now starting on an aircraft tutorial for AC3D (also Targetware- and aircraft-specific) at Targetware Forums (http://www.targetware.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=7805). This is done with screenshots and text description. Razer uses some different approaches than I use, but no less valid. Check these out if you're bandwidth challenged (not sure what will take more time to access: dozens of large screenies or downloading .wmv archives! )

Hi Stiglr
Your tutorial videos are really helpful thanks for taking the time to make them, and Bill Galbraith for hosting them.
I found a good free screen video recorder called Camstudio 2.0 its a really
nice tool and can produce avi's and swf amongst others,it can be found at
http://www.infoweek.ch/downloads/dl_single.cfm?dl_id=986&sid=0
Also if Razer1 is reading this I made a quick PDF of your aircraft tutorial its
2.46mb zipped I will gladly email you a copy,it should make distibution easier if you wish.

I cannot get any sound when I run the tutorial. I am using Windows XP, and the windows media player. I have the same problem when I try Quicktime. I have downloaded the first two segments.

I haven't heard of this problem previously; perhaps you got a corrupted download??
Re-download it and report back, please.
Oh, one other thing to check: you did unpack the .rar archives, right? Perhaps re-do the "unrar" and check your WinRAR settings. These archives and attendant software are odd and have decompression settings that can cause funky effects with sound and video.

Check all your volume controls. I find the sound volume really low on my copies. I need to max the volume.
