I was wondering if there is a better way to round off flat surfaces then the 'subdivide' tool. the problem is that i made a trace of a mech from mobile suit gundam (the zaku) then 'extruded' it to find that its too blocky, so i used the subdivide tool and it works... sort of. the new problem is that it creates little rinckles on the surface. is there a better way? thanks.

Try and make sure that all surfaces are quads (4 sided, 3 vertex polygons), other triangles and polygons will subdivide but not as symetrically - and will probably cause bumps like you are seeing.

do you mean like... triangulating a cube or something of the sort?

As I put in your other post - make sure you've removed internal surfaces when you extrude.
I've found that using the "Divide" option (not the subdivide option) and then applying the Smooth Shape gives better results than subdivision.
Post back if you have any problems.
