Nothing fantastic here but anyway (and more or less still WIP) ...
A lamp :

Is this based on your own house or a dream house?

Actually the lamp and the TV are real, and in my own living-room yes.
I'm just building some small things (lamp, Tv, sofa, table ...) in order to
make a cool PovRay scene later.

I usually use a professional home building program for my houses and then use that as a basis for better models.

If you're at modeling a whole house and not a tiny scene like what's in my head, then it's probably a good option.

Lucky,
Maybe add an extra bevel on the lamp base bottom?
It looks too round in that pic.

Thanks Spinner,
yes the subdivision tends to round the bottom surfaces.
I plan to align all the bottom vertices later if I keep the model subdivided.
What do you mean by "add an extra bevel" ?

I think Spinner means ... a base for the lamp ???

If you put a slice loop close to the edge it'll effect the rounding off of subdividing and give you a sharper edge.
Sort of this...
