People put stupid things on their spaces and put themselves in awkward positions. It's like they said on X-play, if you were really interesting enough to read about, you'd actually have friends. There's no reason to put personal information out for all the world to see. And besides that, IT'S JUST PLAIN EVIL!!!

also putting a block on myspace will not do. As I have worked with the internet for some time, there are easy ways of removing blocks. if your kids are as smart as you are. putting on the blocks will do no good.

I can get around blocks but choose not to. I ignored myspace for the first while it was out, then my friend told me about it and I realized how bad things could get with it. It's not really a personal vendetta, but it could become one.

:confused: I think Myspace is a great website, in case of priveledge to Customize in any way possible, meeting old and new friends, and pretty much its the fun of it.

In all of your concerns is that, Myspace is dangerous to kids? It could be true, but the point is Parents, thats the main responsibility, If you want to restrict from myspace but, they still have access to it somehow, Just restrict them from the computer. Stop letting the kids control you.

Myspace is a Huge social network, there is no way you can compare any social network to this type of networking society. People Enjoy this making it a Entertaining Network. Making us myspace profile owners, lose our myspace makes us quite confused and angry, think about it, Its completly your fault on behalf of your control over your kids. Ending myspace is one big mistake. There are millions (exagerated) of things that get your kids into these type of problems and that includes chat rooms. Do you choose to end those to?

Responsible parents should not take part in ending myspace, but restricting anything near myspace. Its the closest thing you can get from keeping kids from these tragic problems.

The Internet is one huge Digital World, its impossible to stop people from creating social networks and what not. People including children, can access anything on myspace, finding whatever you would ever want to look for mentaly.
So there is no real reason to end myspace but, sexual preditors. Those are Everywhere

cycofoo has a point. In all actuallity any website can be harmful to kids like myspace. you can not stop youngsters from looking at websites. I mean that would be like saying that kids should stay away from google. why you might ask is that google can also look up unwanted or undesirible websites, subjects, and pictures. yeah you know how easy it is to look up porn lol. a child can easily do that with google. so is it fair to say that they should destroy myspace just because some undesireable material or situations have happend. anything like that can happen on any other websites. Its kinda like saying they should ban games cause kids are to immature to playing. It saddens me to game being the sole benafactor of kids motives. So I think this post is more about one persons opinion than fact. I also think that some people understand the risks of what they are doing and do it anyways.

Hey, not all kids like myspace. I'm 16 and I hate it. I want it to disappear for no reason other than the fact that it facilitates stupidity. Sure, other sites do that, but this is special. This makes it easier for the masses to create a collective idiot. And I can't stand 99% of idiots.
