We should have design contests. Every week people would submit a model and, based on it's quality, winners should be chosen by a panel picked by...I don't know, Andy probably. How does that sound?

You mean everyone modeling the same thing and the better model wins ?
I'm afraid I've no time for that :)

No, not everyone models the same thing, people just submit their most recent and best model and we see who made the best looking model based on detail, design, and other aspects. It's like an art contest.
The prize would be the "Thank's for using AC3D, it's not a bad model" Award of Excellence. Or just bragging rights. The winners would probably be posted in the calendar.

yes excellent progress. btw Captainj2410 I was wondering on the red part of the impulse engines I have noticed that you have blue lines going through. I am guessing that those are some sorta vents. how can I make something like that? if you want me to explain better just ask me.
