Request for Layers plug-in

I had my first experience with the Layers plug in just now. It seems to work properly, but...

It's useless to me as an organizational aid if I can't name the layers something that makes sense to me. Otherwise, I have to remember which layer I placed which objects on.

Could we please add data entry boxes so we can add designations and mnemonics to Layers? It'd help a lot.

Unfortunately, I'm not developing this plugin anymore. If you have version 6, you're in good shape with the Hierarchy tool, but otherwise, you'd have to find someone that could modify the source code...
