If you need a program to render your models in, Bryce 5 is now for a limited time free (until September 6, 2006 ). This is a landscaping program, but Brycers are pushing the limits and have made amazing pictures with this program. I use it myself and its a great program. Especially when you get it for free :)

You do have to register in the *ART Zone* which is free. Its a blog/chat/exhibit place .... kind of a myspace for artists.

The offer does not end there ....

"And don't forget you can get bryce 5.5 for only $20! (And getting 5.5 puts you on the upgrade path to get the upgrade version of 6 when it is out, rather than needing the full version)"

Bryce 6 according to Daz management will have :

"a boolean to mesh exporter"
and
"One big feature is IBL using HDRI
(Image based lighting) (High Dynamic Range Imaging)"

While terrains created in Bryce have always been exportable to a variety of formats (and importable into AC3D), objects produced with their boolean techniques have not ... so that will be a great addition.
