when ever i try to go from the four veiws, to a single one using either the buttions or the spacebar, and then go back to the four way split, i always get the blue screen of death. i have XP home edition, and i got 512 ram, and a 700 megahertz P3 and a ATI M4 video card with all the latest driveres and updates. i would also liek to mention that im runnign an older version of AC3D, i think its version 7. i dare not run it again as eac h time i get the blue screen of death, i loose part of my hard drive, im just lucky that my FAT32 tables havent been one of these affected areas

I suggest you try AC3D version 6 :)

This kind of problem would usually be attributed to the graphics drivers. If you have the very latest drivers, you might try rolling back on those, since new drivers sometimes have problems - especially ATI.

first of all, im sorry for the lengthy absence, school is takign up a major part of my life again. adn i found a way to include AC3d in a few of my projects,, problem is, i still cant use AC3D.

andy, ac3d 5 worked jsut fine before this problem, no teh only new hardwaere was a 30 gig hard drive from a 20, and that was after teh problem started, otherwise, everythign else is the same, and i havent aqdded any new plugins. waht i dont get is, how. i ziped the entire ditrectory, adn included registry information in a RAR archive, and uninstalled AC3D and did a clean install, adn still the blue screen of death. by the way, MR. Neilson is very interested in yoru program for his Arts class, in the Career and Technologys Studies circulum. only probem is, he hasnt been able to see the full version, only screenshots, pelase help me

This is most likely a graphics card/driver problem. We have thousands of users all over the world, including many schools and it's rare we get this sort of problem reported.

I suggest you try it on another machine, perhaps with a different graphics card.

You should ensure you have the latest drivers.

well this prioblem is only on my laptop, still, and i assure you andy, that the drivers are up-to-date, i even went to a computer speciaist at the local MIT school, and everythign checked out as far as operation, but as for speed, he said that the speed is only 81% of what the laptop can do without overclocking, mr valtagio said that even with reduced speed that cant be why the program isnt workign properly or even intiating a leathal system error (blue screen fo death) is there a previos version i could install like maybe ac3d 3 or 4 and will teh pin i still have work with 3 or 4? unless ofcourse you haev a way to fix the version i have.
