you have to realize that animation is no small matter. an animation editor is a tricky program to write,
my bro and i are making one right now(personal use), and we've had to rewrite it 3 times due to lack of organization in the code. its hard to make it easy to uses, yet fast and powerful.

with that in mind, you cant expect for Andy to slap a crap animation excuse into AC3D, it would be way out of place with the rest of ac3d..
For andy to add animtion into ac3d, will probly require him to rewrite most of the base fuctionalitys of the way ac3d handles your models, not to mention a huge interface change.
if he did it wrong it could change ac3d for the worse(no pressure andy, lol), but judging by how well the rest of ac3d works together, i think we can expect a pretty smooth ac3d w/ animation.

i do not know how far andy is with the animation, but asking him so slap a date on that kind of project is not very realistic.
if he had a team of 20 that would be a different story.

and please, forgive me if this reply sounds offensive, its not ment that way.

also, andy, correct me if i am wrong about any of this.
