Hi

My first day with this program so I'm just learning.
I was searching the forum for help with my problem importing STL files, but didn't find an answer. I have managed to work it out myself, so I'm posting it here in case it helps anyone else with the same problem.

Every time I tried to import an STL file I ended up with a blank screen. Nothing was imported. Then I remembered that there are two types of STL file - ASCII and Binary.

All my STL files are in Binary format (smaller file size - better for uploading) but the STL Import plugin is expecting files in ASCII format.

I used MeshLab to load an STL file and then resave it as STL but after un-checking the Binary option. Now it loads into AC3D perfectly.

Looking forward to experimenting more with this program.
