Default Re: how do i fly my plane, .ac to acf.

the format called ".acf" is what planemaker uses.

the format called ".obj" is the format that you can build with in ac3d.

if youve built the exterior of your plane in object format using ac3d it will show up in xplane but you will still need to make at least a rough rendering of the plane in planemaker so that xplane can calculate the wings lift, control surface forces, thrust, fuselage lift and things like that. just building an exterior in ac3d wont make it fly in xplane, xplane needs at least a rough image of the plane done in planemaker to compute the flight performance.

theres lots of tutorials and stuff about using planemaker at xplane.org forums. most of the stuff i learned about planemaker i just learned by looking at other planes in planemaker.
