My partner got it for the work she is doing and I found the rendering and simplicity for animation just too sweet to ignore. Objects port pretty well from AC3D as 3ds or obj's. The inbuilt textures in Vue are good, but I still prefer to use Photoshop to create my 2D textures and then import into AC3D and or Vue to apply.
