Great program (have registered it).

Though I wonder whether the optimize vertex/surfaces menu options are needed - could their function not be automatic?
I am always merging elements together and always want to optimize vertices. Should there not be an option to automatically optimize vertices on every merge?
The same thing with surfaces - degenerate or duplicate surfaces could be removed automatically by the program rather than waiting for the user to optimize.
