To make models, use AC3D and File->Export->triangles to create a .tri file.

To use the tri creator object:
1) rez a copy(drag it from you inventory onto the floor)
2) right click on it and select edit
3) go to the Content tab (hit 'More >>') if you can't see it.
4) right click on the triangles note and select edit.
5) replace the contents with the text from a .tri file exported from AC3D
6) save and close the note
7) close the edit window
8) left click on the tri creator object to start creating your model in Second life
9) after watching the creation, edit and delete the tri creator object
