Do you have a good paint program like paint shop pro, the Gimp, ... ?

First you have to find textures or make them yourself (ie. generate them or extract them from a picture ...).

(except if you only want to make a render, then Povray (for example) has some good premaid materials)

Then you will have to unwrap your model in the TCE, by selecting surfaces.
After that you will have to save these unwraped surfaces as a picture (or in the clipboard), then open it in your paint program, and paint on it with your textures ...
u read my mind right now im helping a new comer in ac3d but the moment im free im going to try it
