I'm having a difficult time with this Hel model I'm reworking. Do anyone know what the maximum number of faces one object in a 3ds file can have? I thought it was around 20000 something, but now I start to wonder if that is to much. This thing takes forever to export as 3ds (3+ hours) and gets around 26mb big, but many of the objects arent exported when imported into, say Carrara. Whenever that have happend to me before I have just split the largest objects and it has all been good, but not so with this. Anyone have any ideas? What about the 3ds exporter in AC3D? How much does it export?
