thats what i was doing, right and left half fuselage separately. it has a bug where it splits the half into two pieces and then you have to put it together, thats not too hard for me on a simple test cylinder but with a fuselage that has a nose it doesnt seem to work. this is what i get using a test cylinder and then this fuselage:
