That's unfortunate!!!

My workaround is to maintain two computers: one with Windows 10 and the latest version of ac3d and the other running Windows XP and ac3d 7.5. The computers are linked through my home network so if I really need to use one of these plugins, I can copy the model over to the XP machine running ac3d 7.5 and use the features of the plugin, save the model, and then move it back to my Window 10 PC.
