Default Re: Exporting to SL?

"Normalized" scales the map to fill the bounding box. This is the preferred option, especially for objects that will be physical or you wish to sit on. It also preserves the most resolution. You will need to stretch the object in SL to get the original proportions back, as SL makes everything a cube when it imports.

The standard version does not scale the prim to fill the bounding box. If the prim has rectangular instead of square bounds, there will be empty space in the bounding cube in SL. This version is not as robust, but the advantage is that you do not need to scale the prim in the SL to get the proportions correct as the proportions are in the map itself making it easier for inexperienced builders.
