I have drawn my parts to a 1:1 scale. In File-->settings, you can set the major divisions to represent "0.1" and the minor divisions to be "0.01" which makes it easier to draw small parts to scale.

I haven't worried about showing resistor color bands since I am trying to achieve an overall "form, fit", kind of model rather than duplicating what the board would look like in a picture.

I'm not sure how we could go about sharing part models through the forum or otherwise, but I'm not opposed to doing so if someone knows how to do this.
