it is possible to load your .jpg pic into ac3d
notice in ac3d there a 4 veiwports. 3 ortho veiw 1cam.
you can upload your picture in ortho veiw only.
also notice in ortho veiw there is a tab called ortho. click on that and you can upload your pics in ac3d.
