Yes.
AC3D is unit-less, so you need to know how what other 3d programs you're going to import the model into will interpret them as... For example, they are meters in FlightGear, Poser Native Units (100 inches, more or less) in Poser, Shapeways.com lets you choose between inches, mm and cm when you import.
