I assume you want it to be semi transparent when viewed from outside only.

- Make sure normals point outward.

or even better:
- Put the transparent parts into a sep. object file and attach it in Planemaker.
- There's a pop-up in Planemaker to set the lighting mode to glass.

you do use a semi-transparent png texture, do you?
