On Linux, 'ac3ds' is statically compiled with Mesa (the OpenGL library) and will work on most machines (but the graphics will not be accelerated by your graphics card).

If you have problems with the 'ac3d' program then the problem is with your graphics libraries/DRI implementation, not AC3D, and your should seek updates for them.
