Andy,

I just noticed a couple more things.

The Geomview postscript snapshot does not render objects with transparency properly. Also, the edges between surfaces are not very smooth. So perhaps I am not going to be able to use postscript at all?

I was attempting to create a file that would be smaller and more portable than a high resolution tiff for electronic publication, but it looks like I am going to have to use tiff.
