under the Settings pop-up there is one toggle selection that I use frequently - stipple selected surface - I find I keep the stipple on when shaping the model but need to turn it off when applying the surface texture, particularly when using a background image to insure accurate texture alignment.

Any chance this toggle could be placed alongside the "select through" on the message bar, or better yet as a selection on the individual window view pulldown?
