Ok let me ask a few questions then as I've not gotten a reply

Would I 'trace' the animal then add faces and extrude?

Would I build the body from a tube, head from a globe, tail and legs from tubes? That seems alot of polys unless I reduce them.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
