slightly more complex than your last question but an equally simple answer! draw your line first then decide of the shape of the final thickening, ie disk or square etc. then draw disk or square. Select the disk or square and using shift clcik select the line, then in Object menu select extrude along path, you should see some results instantly, write back if you have any problems!
