I like that idea --- I generally write plugins for things I need, and I haven't needed this yet, but maybe in the future, if no one writes it before me, I could take a stab at it. Doesn't look like the Greeble author provides source code for his utility, but I (or any brave soul that wants to trudge through my source code) could definitely use lessons-learned from the AC3D Fur plugin to make it happen.
