i just updated VGA driver, i downloaded the intel one at the bottom of this list, the most recent date: 02/21/2013.

the list has many different companies but since when clicking on device manager, display devices, it says intel HD graphics 4000 so i downloaded the most recent intel driver on that list.

installed, restarted computer and the i7 is still way slower than the i5.

i upgraded my computer to i7 3.4 ghz, 10 gb memory for more efficient 3D work, if i cant figure this out i will have to work on my older pc and maybe return or exchange this.

any ideas?

did i read somewhere that a company was selling pcs that supposedly had i7s but it was really a different CPU? if so how can i check?
