Yes, you basically need to drag the animation group onto an object in the target group. Also be aware that it must be BELOW any rotation/translation commands of the target group. You can build rather elaborate animations that way.
I built animations with a dozen nested groups - no problem for XP.

Yes, I saw the update. There's excellent airfoil data available btw. You can search for DSMA-87 (mid-semi-span) or DSMA-128 (inboard) and the DSMA-277 for the 4% extended midspan airfoil.
