Hi, first post, first problem xD

I read the manual on snapping to grid, and they say to activate it in Settings. Sadly, there is no check box for snap grid in settings, only a dimension option for it. I have played with the number to put in there, but it doesn't affect anything. Any help will be great. Thanks!

Ok, found the option, but now my objects don't snap to the lines, only to...wherever they feel like snapping. Anybody know how to change that?
