Default Re: Plugin to rotate polygons

Vespa - maybe I can help with an apporach you could use.

If cockpit and instrument are both in AC format, then do the following:

0. Setting check: ensure you setting for General - Mouse Rotate (degrees) is a small number I use 0.1

1. Find centre point of instrument on panel, doesn't matter what angle the panel may be. Use the > button to the left of the Move to section. This is the centre point of your instrument.

2. Take you instrument and import into the cockpit and move it to the location you've just found.

3. Now in front, left to top views rotate the instrument to sit correctly - this does take some trial and error. If you rotate with the tick box "Use object centre" it should maintain the centre pint of the instrument at all times. Record the values you use for each plane and then place them in the anm file along with the centre point position for the offset.

This is the method I use to animate the flight controls on surfaces that have
compound curves and angles.
