The model is a very small portion of the united states. It was created from a srtm file.

I increased my virtual memory to 4 gigabytes. Unfortunately that is the limit for my operating system ( Win xp home edition - 32 bit ).

I am still having the same problem. Hopefully there are some other options that I can try. It would be a major pain to try and cut the srtm files into smaller sections.

I appreciate any and all help with this problem.
