Default Re: 'Tharsis Orbiter'

Hi tbd,

no I haven't done any work previously on AC3D, but quite a few years using POVRay and Bryce. AC3D seems to be quite 'intuitive' and I've simply looked for the same tools that I used to use in Cyber Sculpt, in AC3D and strarted building from there. The model in AC3D looks quite simple in comparison to the POVRay version as I prefer to alter the textures etc in POVRay, as I can use layering techniques and control the way textures are applied quicker in POV.

I have tried out a few other programs looking for a replacement for Cyber Sculpt over a period of time, and AC3D I got into *very* quickly because of its ease of use and interface with POVRay, so I could still use all my tools and plug-ins that I've built up over the years.

Thanks again,
g7sta
