Exporting issues with wavefront or X-Plane OBJ
Hi guys,
I am new to AC3D development, and I am having some issues with exporting objects to X-Plane or Plane Maker model. I imported some STL files on AC3D, optimized the meshes, added a single texture (.dds) on the object I imported, saved the file as AC3D file (.ac), and finally, successfully exported the object as an X-Plane OBJ8 file. When I load it on PlaneMaker using Misc Objects tool, it shows up on the hierarchy, but does not load the graphics. Is there something I missed on AC3D? I have spent a lot of time searching for the solution, but found nothing. For the texture, I used a .PNG file from the X-Plane's object library from an existing aircraft. The PNG file is situated at the same folder as the AC3D and the exported X-Plane OBJ8 file. And, I am using AC3D 8.3.21, and X-Plane 11.30. Could someone please help me out? If this has already been resolved in another thread either on AC3D forum or X-Plane forum, can you please send me a link to it? Thank you in advance! |

This is usually fixed by checking the location of the texture in x-plane and also the dimensions of the texture should be a power of 2 e.g. 256,1024 etc.
