Northrop Alpha
If you take the time to look at the other threads you will see Im a fan of the 1930s
This is another beautiful design to come out of that time period. This beautiful aircarft has intersting history as well. More of a mail carrier then passenger aircraft it did have room for a few passengers. I cant imagine it was all the nice of a ride. I sure it had to be loud and hot. All sculpted parts made using AC3D and imported to Second life and assembled like a model. I have a lot of people that first see this aircarft think its a GeeBee racer also built durring the same time period. Im sure like most things built around the same time that the desings would be similar. here is a cut away view in wireframe in sl so you can see the interior and the radial motor. |

Re: Northrop Alpha
Thanks Simon! I love doing these old aircraft. Even by todays modern standards these old birds had some classic lines. :-D
