Is it possible to get the custom greeble to point just one way? Say you want to place some trees out on a mountain. Instead of pointing with the normal, it points straight up instead? This picture is what happens now.

It would take some re-working, but it could be done --- actually, that'd probably be a function best left for a new plugin (would get the Greeble code a bit messy otherwise
![]() This isn't exactly what you're looking for, and may or may not work well for trees (depends on the level of detail and types of trees you're looking at), but maybe placing axis-aligned surfaces beneath your contoured surface would work? Your trees wouldn't follow the underlying contour based on its height, however... |

Yea, I have tryed that, but my example is very low on the height difference. When you get much bigger and higher mountains that wont work to good

If dimensions didn't matter, you could just take the fur plugin, set the coverage and very negative y gravity and come up with something like this:
