Cylindrical Texture Coordinate Remapping?
Is there an easy way (or any way) to remap texture coordinates with cylindrical mapping instead of spherical mapping?
It seems like AC3D automatically generates correct cylindrical mapping coordinates when you create a cylinder primitive but how do I create the same kind of mapping for an object that is similar to a cylinder but different due to details; for example, a staircase baluster turned with a lathe? Thank you in advance! |

It's not as neat as pressing a single button, but using the TCE, map shperically then move and size the texture-coords so that the 'bars' in the mapping are from top to bottom of the whole texture area.
