I'm using a cube with 16 sections in the z axis to make a shape. I've adjusted the sections just right and now I want it to act like a solid object. It is already one group-even though it has 16 sections, so merge will not work. I tried snap distance .001 and no luck.
I also want to get rid of the vertices that came with the sections since I plan on cutting things up even more with the knife tool and all of those vertices are dam confusing. I cannot use hide or lock for this because, again it already is a single group. |

Combine the no more wanted surfaces, and then delete the useless vertices if any.
