Extrude along path mechanics
I wanted to extrude a non-symmetrical shape along a path. In the attached filed, "Extrude along path starting point", I placed a triangle in the x-y plane. I also constructed a straight line path in the x-y plane. The result, shown in "Extrude along path result", is puzzling to me. Instead of simply extruding the shape along the path indicated, it looks like some rotation was used in places (see the 3D view).
Can anyone explain what is going on here? I tried to upload the .jpg images above, but inivis.com failed to perform the upload, so here are a couple of URLs where the images can be viewed: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...rtingpoint.jpg and http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...pathresult.jpg |

Re: Extrude along path mechanics
Nevermind! It looks like I had ac3d running for a little too long on my system. When I shut it down and then started it back up and did the same operation, the weird result didn't occur. Thanks anyway.
