Low Poly Classic Anime Characters
This time I wasn't going for lots of details, but instead on keeping the poly counts as low as possible. Maybe for a low req game. Honestly, I just enjoyed the challenge of seeing how few polys I could use while still getting nice results.
Each one weighs in at 850-900 polys. No textures on them, as I'm rather poor at making textures. Just shaded polygons. |

Re: Low Poly Classic Anime Characters
I'd love to try making a full high poly count mesh, if I could only find a suitable set of reference shots of her that are on model (as in, I would want to model her to look as much like the anime version as possible, and most fanart deviates from that style, sometimes rather drastically). I'd want to model the body and the clothes seperately, so swimsuit style T poses would obviously be ideal.
I just don't know anybody that can draw well enough to pull it off that also understand modelling enough to know how to poste/proportion everything so it lines up. So hey, if you've got any teenage anime girl model reference sheets just laying around that I could use, I'd be much obliged.

They did have some good turn arounds of the digimon characters though, so I should be set on kid references now.

Hey would you mind allowing me to add your little characters to my open source game engine. They look like they would be fun to have running around.
Can't think of anything specific to do with them at the moment, besides maybe wander around and get attacked by zombies. Maybe I could test out a super hero game idea with them. |

Re: Low Poly Classic Anime Characters
these figures have been here for a while now even in the forum spotlight. i never thought that i could begin my character modelling with a simple prim like that and work from there, but all the same these are pretty cool.
