Re: Fokker DXXI
That is nice. I love the indents on the body.

Re: Fokker DXXI
The indents (where the fabric stretches over the frame) is actually 2D for 3D- I did it with the texture. I plan to eventually put it in a Fight Sim (Targetware) so I need to keep polys to a reasonable level. This one is about 3,400. Here is the plane without the texture:

Re: Fokker DXXI
I'm new, so I may resurrect a couple threads.
I'm comparing the two pics (yours and the real) and I'm having trouble finding anything constructively criticize. I'm a big flight sim player, especially WWII combat flight sims, I love em! Your work is awesome! ADDENDUM: Constructive criticism: I think the prop might be a bit small. The struts on the landing gear a bit too thin, other than that, see the third paragraph above. Re: Fokker DXXI
Thanks, I'll re-check the prop.
Yes, the struts do look odd. This is because they are not compressed in the picture- they are in the position they would be in when airborne. This will be fixed when I get around to writing the animation code and actually flying it. Good call. |
