Is there anybody who had the chance to export AC3D models to DarkBasic or DarkBasic Pro? (say via 3DS format)
Is DB or DBPro can read the models with "texture(s)" and recreate them in the 3D world as you saw them in AC3D 3D view? How about the materials like "colors" and "transparency" effects that you setup in AC3D; Are they recreated in your DB/DBPro game world correctly? Thanks Steven |

I prefer the X file format. ( I have written the X file exporter of AC3D. )
DB/DBPro can read this format without any problems. And most of the settings of the AC3D model are also used in DB. ( textures, materials (colors), smooth/flat surfaces, crease angles, frames ( used for the limb system of DB - each object/group is a single limb in DB ), ... ) Frank |

Sorry, what do you mean ? You can export an X file with 'File -> Export -> Direct X ...'. The plugin pack must be installed of course. Frank |

Frank's plugin is included in the standard plugin pack.
